Members affected by flooding find additional support from health insurance provider
July 28, 2017URBANA, Ill.—Health Alliance members in Cook, Kane, Lake and McHenry counties have additional support as they deal with the aftermath of recent flooding.
Members who received a cancellation or nonrenewal notice after July 12, 2017, should disregard that notice. Health Alliance will not issue cancellations or nonrenewal for nonpayment notices until September 30 or later.
Affected members should contact Health Alliance if they need to discuss working through payment options following this 60-day extension, which gives providers additional time to submit claims.
Health Alliance will keep its members informed about coverage changes related to the declared disaster. Members may also contact the Illinois Department of Insurance at 1-866-445-5364.
