Chelan and Douglas County small business find new health insurance options for employees

Local small businesses have a new partner to help them choose the right health insurance to meet the needs of their employees and their bottom line.

“Businesses with 50 or fewer total employees are in a unique situation, and Health Alliance Northwest is uniquely positioned to help employers choose and manage their employees’ healthcare coverage so they can focus on running their business,” said David Corrigan, Health Alliance Northwest vice president.

“Companies based in North Central Washington now have real options to improve the value of care and services their employees receive – total care coordination close to home.”

Bronze, silver and gold plans offer a host of options for covering doctor and specialty visits, hospital stays, prescriptions and more. Members choose a primary care provider (PCP) to coordinate medical care which leads to better outcomes.

“A PCP gives attention to members’ personalized, overall health and serves as their healthcare partner,” Corrigan said. “We understand our role as the insurance provider and let our doctors provide the care. That way patients receive the right care at the right time at the right place for the right cost.”

Health Alliance Northwest, a wholly owned subsidiary of Confluence Health and Health Alliance Medical Plans, began serving Medicare Advantage members in the area in 2014.

The combined approach of local, provider-driven care with the backing of Health Alliance Northwest offers the next level of employee health care, including accountability for the cost, quality and value of care, as well as better access, services and outcomes for employees.
