  • Cumberland
  • Douglas
  • Iroquois

  • Vermilion

Health insurance issuers, like Health Alliance, must implement a moratorium on cancellations and non-renewals issued on or after December 29, 2015, until February 29, 2016, for affected fully insured members.

This means members in the above counties have until February 29 to catch up on payments, file appeals and more. We won’t cancel their policies if they fall behind on payments during this time. We’ll also cover some out-of-network care at the in-network rate if they have to go outside the network for care because of the flooding.

Members can call the number on the back of their ID cards if they have questions. Members who want to make a complaint during this disaster-related coverage extension can call the Illinois Department of Insurance’s toll-free complaint hotline at 1-866-445-5364 or file the complaint online.
