SignalHealth Partners with Medicare Experts to Serve Yakima Seniors

Strong provider network, quality healthcare coverage and customer service key to selecting Health Alliance Medicare

SignalHealth, a clinically integrated health care network, has partnered with Illinois-based Health Alliance Medicare to offer a new Medicare Advantage plan to Medicare-eligible seniors throughout Yakima County. Health Alliance Northwest has established a Yakima team and local office to assist seniors with coverage and service.

“It is important to SignalHealth, a network started by Memorial, that seniors are able to have quality alternatives when considering Medicare Advantage plans. Partnering with Health Alliance Medicare, which successfully developed a similar offering in Wenatchee a few years ago, ensures seniors receive health care from local doctors they know and trust,” said Dr. Richard Spiegel, CEO of SignalHealth.

“In Health Alliance Medicare, we have found a fitting collaborator to launch our new Medicare Advantage plan.”

“We are grateful for the opportunity to help provide additional Medicare options for Yakima County’s seniors,” said Health Alliance Vice President of Sales and Retention Jana Perry.

Since 2011, SignalHealth has worked to create a wide network of hospitals and providers, including physicians, midlevel providers, physical therapists, occupational therapists and chiropractors, with more being added all the time, to serve Yakima Valley’s seniors. Here’s just a sampling of the hospital and clinician groups participating in the Health Alliance Medicare SignalAdvantage network:

  • Memorial Family of Services
  • Community Health of Central Washington
  • Sunnyside Community Hospital & Clinics
  • Yakima Neighborhood Health Services
  • Orthopedics Northwest
  • Yakima Urology Associates
  • Comprehensive (Central Washington Comprehensive Mental Health)
  • Healthy Now Convenient Care Clinics

Those seeking additional information about Medicare coverage can also stop by the Health Alliance Medicare office in Yakima from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. It’s located at 1701 Creekside Loop #100, Building 11.

“We provide health care coverage and customer service the way they ought to be. To us, that just seems right,” Perry said. Spiegel added, “We encourage seniors to speak with Health Alliance, local insurance brokers and their physicians about the benefits of such a plan.”

Timing will be important. While health insurers nationwide posted Medicare Advantage 2016 plans at the start of the month, October 15 marks the start of the Medicare Annual Election Period (AEP), when people on Medicare need to choose their plan for next year. The AEP ends December 7.
