Dr. Chester Ho named Health Alliance Chief Medical OfficerApril 20, 2020
Chester (Chet) Ho, MD joins Health Alliance as chief medical officer on April 20. He steps into the role previously held by Robert Good, DO who has served in that position since 2016.
Dr. Ho comes to Health Alliance from Evolent Health headquartered in Arlington, VA where he served as chief medical officer and senior vice president, Medicaid, Quality and Risk Adjustment. There he was responsible for overseeing clinical and quality operations, physician engagement and reporting, and network development for Evolent provider-sponsored health plans.
Dr. Ho is a graduate of Purdue University and The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Good, who has served in various leadership roles for the health system for more than 25 years, will retire later this year. Until then, he’ll serve as interim associate chief medical officer until that position is filled and to practice internal medicine part-time.
“As a provider-driven health plan, we’re grateful for the expertise of these two dedicated and innovative physicians,” said Dennis Hesch, Carle Health executive vice president and Health Alliance president and chief executive officer. “As we look to the future, we believe Dr. Ho’s expertise aligns well with our vision to continue advancing operations to serve our members.”
